A graduate of Knox-Memorial High School, Ms. Hewlett received her Bachelor's degree in Sociology from SUNY Potsdam. She then went on to receive her Master's degree in School Counseling from St. Lawrence University. Ms. Hewlett worked as a Child Protective Caseworker for St. Lawrence County Department of Social Services for five years before starting at Potsdam Central School as a Home-to-School Counselor working with students and families in the middle and high schools. She then spent 12 years as the Elementary School Counselor at Lawrence Avenue Elementary. For the 2016-17 and 2017-18 school years, Ms. Hewlett returned to the middle and high schools once again as a Home-to-School Counselor, working to help connect families and students to school. Ms. Hewlett is currently the high school counselor for 9th and 10th grades, working alongside Ms. Tisha White, the 11th and 12th grade school counselor, to prepare students for a successful and meaningful life and career upon graduation from Potsdam High School.
