STATEMENT REGARDING SCHOOL CLOSURE 3/14

Due to the State of Emergency declared by the St. Lawrence County Board of Directors, and in consultation with St. Lawrence County and St. Lawrence Public Health, the St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES and its 18 school districts have made a unanimous decision to close school immediately until at least April 20th. The districts, in collaboration with Public Health, will reevaluate the return of staff and students prior to the 20th to determine whether or not it is safe to return.

No After School Activities - Tuesday, April 9, 2019

Due to the weather conditions, all after-school activities and athletics are cancelled today. However, with the exception of the following: Latch Key. Latch Key parents are requested to pick up their child(ren) as soon as possible. Thank you.

Potsdam Central High School Principal Named 2018 New York State Outstanding Leader

Mark R. Bennett, Principal of Potsdam High School, has been named the 2018 New York State Outstanding Leader by the New York State Association for Computers and Technologies in Education (NYSCATE).  This award recognizes an educational leader who has actively promoted technology and supported the work of his/her district to further technology initiatives in meeting the goals of the NYSCATE mission, “to lead the transformation of teaching and learning through technology.”

BOE Seeks Member to Fill Vacant Seat

Due to a recent resignation, the Potsdam Central School District Board of Education will appoint a candidate to serve the final year of a three-year term, finishing June 30, 2020.

Potsdam Central Schools uses a call system called One Call Now. This automated parent notification service allows the district and school buildings to quickly send informational and emergency alerts using telephone calls, text messages, and emails.
