Important Information:
Immunizations
Children attending day care and pre-K through 12thgrade in New York State must receive all required doses of vaccines on the recommended schedule in order to attend or remain in school. This is true unless they have a valid medical exemption for immunizations. Below is the immunization schedule for the 2023-2024 school year.

Dominic Murray Sudden Cardiac Arrest Prevention Act
This act requires schools include information on the signs and symptoms of pending or increased risk of sudden cardiac arrest on the parent/guardian consent form for a student's participation in athletics (the definition of athletics is not limited to interscholastic sports and also includes intramurals, and individual, group and team activities organized to supplement PE class). Information is below.

Concussions:
A concussion is a traumatic brain injury that affects your brain function. Effects are usually temporary but can include headaches and problems with concentration, memory, balance and coordination. Most teenagers recover fully after a concussion. Below is a CDC fact sheet for parents that I encourage you to read, particularly if your child has suffered a concussion.
